Porsche decided drivers might want a boost in power and performance under the hood, so they made an upgrade from the 3.0L twin-turbo found in previous Macan S models. For 2019, the Macan S will have a turbocharged 3.0L V6 engine that gets 348 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. This amounts to a 4.9-second 0 to 60 time (when equipped with the optional Sport Chrono package) and a top speed of 157 mph.<\/p>\n

This new engine isn\u2019t exclusive to the Macan S. It\u2019s similar to the ones found in the Panamera, and Cayenne models. Aside from the engine, Porsche includes a few additional performance updates for the Macan S like fine-tuning the chassis and standard all-wheel drive with Porsche Traction Management. Handling is now better-optimized thanks to newly-tuned anti-roll bars while the Porsche Active Stability Management and height-adjustable air suspension also keep the drive smooth. Other performance specs include Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus, larger front brake discs, and available Traffic Jam Assist.<\/p>\n
