Porsche has officially presented the Porsche 99X Electric, their all-electric open-wheel racer set to compete in the upcoming two Formula E seasons. This advanced model adheres to the GEN3 Evo regulations, an evolution of Formula E\u2019s third-generation cars, and showcases the Porsche brand\u2019s state-of-the-art in-house developments.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Making its online debut on October 24, the Porsche 99X Electric starred in a film alongside Formula E safety car driver and GEN3 Evo development driver Bruno Correia. The model features a range of key innovations, including temporary front-wheel drive, enhanced tire grip, and a sturdier front wing.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Porsche continues to rely on its star drivers for success. World Champion Pascal Wehrlein and Antonio F\u00e9lix da Costa, last season\u2019s most victorious driver, will drive for the works TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team. The Andretti Formula E customer team will also compete with two Porsche 99X Electric cars, piloted by former World Champion Jake Dennis and new Porsche works driver Nico M\u00fcller.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

In its GEN3 iteration, the car has earned back-to-back world championships: Jake Dennis in 2022\/2023 and Pascal Wehrlein in 2023\/2024. The car operates under strict energy limits, forcing teams to maximize efficiency in every component. For the GEN3 Evo, Porsche brand\u2019s Weissach development team has fine-tuned the vehicle based on insights from the past two seasons.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Key Porsche-developed components include the pulse inverter, electric motor, gearbox, differential, suspension, cooling, and operating software for the rear axle.
