Porsche set a legacy with the inception of its first-ever 911 RS model, the Carrera RS 2.7, in 1972. It is an iconic model with a unique white and green configuration and metallic white finishes. Known as the fastest sports car, the Carrera RS 2.7 featured many advanced innovations. Fifty years later, Porsche decided to re-invent the old Carrera RS with the latest 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS. Remembering the 911 Carrera RS 2.7

A powerful German sports car of the old Porsche 911 generation, the Carrera RS 2.7, had advanced technology. An air-cooled flat-six engine developed by Hans Mezger and Valentin Schäffer produced 210 hp and 188 lb.-ft. of torque. Known as ‘Ducktail’ as it features a unique ducktail that had an immense role in providing stability during hyper-acceleration, the Carrera RS 2.7 is a legacy edition that the manufacturing unit of Porsche GT3 remembers fondly.

Features of the 2023 Porsche 911 GT3 RS

Manufactured in tribute to the 1917 Porsche Carrera RS 2.7, the latest GT3 RS features an extreme performance with its 4L naturally-aspirated six-cylinder engine that produces a power of 518 and a stunning rear-wheel drive with seven-speed dual-clutch auto transmission. The model, customized by the GT Line and Porsche Styling, will be limited availability. It offers improved aerodynamics in downforce levels, generating up to 1895 lbs of downforce at 177 mph. It has an air brake that provides decelerating assistance and a Drag Reduction System. 

Personalized in python green with skeptic white finishes to resemble the Carrera RS model, the body has side air intakes painted to match the python green graphics on the rear and sides, python-green forged aluminum wheels with white pinstripes, and exclusive taillights with third brake light.
