Porsche Sustains Strong Delivery Figures in the First Half of 2022

Porsche has shown tremendous growth in terms of sales and has been one of the highest-selling sports car brands in the world. And despite several challenges this year, the German sports car manufacturer has put up strong delivery figures in the first half of 2022. If you’re curious to know just how many cars Porsche has sold in the year so far, keep reading this blog from Porsche Colorado Springs in Colorado Springs, CO.

How Many Cars Did Porsche Sell in the First Half of 2022?

According to a press release by Porsche Cars North America, Porsche delivered 145,860 vehicles globally between January and June 2022. Although this is a 5 percent decline over the previous year, it’s still an impressive feat considering the automotive world is reeling under a global semiconductor chip shortage that has affected the production and sales of new cars.

A large chunk of sales came from markets like Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and China. In Europe, Porsche deliveries rose to 43,087 in the first quarter of 2022 – a 7 percent increase over the same period last year. In China, Porsche delivered 40,681 vehicles, while in the Asia-Pacific, Africa, and Middle East markets, Porsche deliveries were down 10 percent, 62,245 compared to 69,198 in the same quarter last year.
